Still keeping my resolution to blog more often and we're not out of January yet! However... the hand slipped and I accidently (?) bought the stamp I am using in the Sale at My Mum's Craft Shop so I slightly veered away from my promise to use old stash!!
Today I have made a card to enter in the following challenges

Inky Chicks - Bingo (Sentiment, Image,Bow)
 Joanna Sheen - 3-2-1
Natalie and Amy - Something Old, Something New

The stamp is by Stamping Bella and is called Patsy Pixie. Isn't she sweet?!
The papers are from Nitwits Time for Tea collection and the bow and sentiment complete the ensemble!

Many thanks for taking the time to look x

One for the Boys
Haven't made a card for the male of the species for a while so the Allsorts Challenge "Masculine"
really got the creative juices flowing!!
Here is what I came up with.............

The stamp is from Wild Rose Studio from the For Men range and is called Time for a Pint (I don't remember where he came from as I am keeping my New Year's Resolution to use stash I already have!!), I coloured him with Promarkers and edged with Tumbled Glass DI. The papers were leftover scraps from Christmas and a lazy sentiment from Craftwork Cards finished it off.
No frills or frippery - simples!!

Thanks for looking, I appreciate it x

Bee Happy

Well, the snow is still hanging on here and we are expecting more tonight...groan!
Having animals is all well and good but I am fed up of defrosting taps and  breaking ice on water troughs in the mornings :0(
Roll on spring, which is what I was thinking when colouring in Clementine .
She was coloured with Promarkers and I embossed peach coredinations card with a floral stencil that I found lurking in a drawer. The sentiment came from a Stampendous set, Buzzin' Blooms that I found in the My Mums Craft Shop sale.

I would like to enter my card in the following challenges

A Gem of a Challenge "Emboss it"
Allsorts Challenge "Flower Power"

Thanks for coming to see me it's really kind of you.

New Beginnings

Help!! It's Alaska outside! The weather men have actually got it right and Dorset is under two inches of snow as I write this and it's only 6.00am. Yikes, better get the shovel out.

This is Mimosa Chickens from Bildmalarna (I am still using older stamps from my stash!!), she was coloured with promarkers and the papers are from Cuddly Buddly. Now for the relevance to New Beginnings- well my good friend Annie has just had a knee operation which should be a new beginning for her  and this was made to cheer her up. She also has chooks, hence the play on words on the banner!!

I would like to enter this in the following challenges.

Joanna Sheen " New Beginnings"
A Gem of a Challenge "New Beginnings"

Thanks for looking and keep cosy!! :0)

Just a couple of simple cards today.
I decided to have a back to basics session using a new set of stamps from Inky Doodles . I found them by chance and was so impressed by Sarah's samples that I had to buy a set!! I stamped the background and the hearts using DI's, cut out the hearts and stuck them on with foam pads atop a punched border - simples!!

This one was from the same collection of stamps. The stamped background looks so different in stronger colours although the technique was the same.

Thanks for stopping by.

Clean and Simple

This was a real "challenge" for me ( and another new one, I might add) as I am rather fond of bits and pieces, however I resisted the itchy fingers reaching for buttons and bows etc... and this was the result.

Let me introduce Clementine from Stamp Fairy . She was coloured with Pro Markers and simply matted on to black card with a bit of a spotted ribbon sandwich. She is being entered in the Allsorts Challenge, Clean & Simple.

Thanks for stopping by :0)

A Failed Resolution!!
Whilst packing away my Christmas stamps and papers  I came across lots and lots of stamps that I haven't used for ages, hence a flash of genius, dig 'em out, use 'em and not buy any new ones
- Ok, I confess, the postman had a delivery for me today (my bad!!) but it was the starting point for today's creation, so that's a good thing surely?!
And here it is Mimosa - Butterfly by Bild Malarna. She's coloured with Pro Markers and I used MME Miss Caroline Dolled Up papers. Being canny I die cut the fancy oval from the same piece of paper and mounted the image on the reverse side. Don't you just love double sided papers!?

I am entering her in the new Inky Chicks "Anything Goes" Challenge.

Thanks ever so for visiting.

Crafty New Year!!

Where on earth did last year go? I seem to remember my birthday in February and then it was Christmas! Must be getting old, time's passing in the blink of an eye. Anyhow I am planning to blog more often and enter some new challenges this year (would have started already if I could upload my photos!!)

Yay, done it!! This is my first card of 2013 and I am entering it in My Mums Craft Shops "Anything Goes" Challenge

The image is "Apple blossom and Milkshake baking" from Whimsy stamps. It was such a joy to use non festive colours again.

I echoed the scalloped ovals inside to match. Hope you like it and thanks for looking!
