Mothering Sunday

I am ashamed to say that I didn't get quite as much crafty activity as I had hoped last week. Hubby had a few days off too, so we were out and about. It's far too cold to do much outside this week though so I holed up in my den and  took some inspiration from the following challenges and made a card for my Mum.

I used a Vintage Step Card blank from Which Craft UK as a base and inked the edges of some
First Edition ( Boho Chic) papers between which I sandwiched some gauze that I found in my medicine cupboard  (goodness knows where it came from !!). I die cut two fancy spellbinders ovals and cut the rim from the white one on to which I stamped Phoebe, another cutie from the Angelica and Friends range from Crafters Companion which I coloured with Promarkers.
I seem to remember that, when I was a little one, my Mum and Dad used to go ballroom dancing and I loved dressing up in one of  Mum's nighties and her dancing shoes, so this image was just perfect and I am sure it will make her chuckle.

I found some letter stickers which fitted the colourway perfectly and added the sentiment to a concealed tag, tied with ribbon and button twine, with which I attached a little shoe that I found lurking in my bits and pieces basket - perfect!

I appreciate your visit x

Black and White

Wow, blues skies two days in a row and it looks set to remain the same for at least this week, it must because I am on annual leave and it's my Birthday!! I have been very indulgent this morning, rode my pony early, tea and toast on my return and then the morning in my craft room - better than working any day!!

This is what I did for the Joanna Sheen Challenge - Black and White

I matted black card between a white card blank (A6 sideways for a change) and white card, onto which I stamped the flowers using Stampendous Buzzin' Blooms. The sentiment (from the same set) was stamped and then die cut. Some black gems to finish off and here it is....

Off to have coffee and cake!!

Thanks for stopping by x

Sunday 17 February 2013

It's beautiful today in Dorset. It started out murky with frost and thick fog but now the fog has lifted and we have gorgeous blue skies which leads me nicely to today's card!!
I love turquoise and aqua so had to make a card for The Ribbon Girl - February Colour Challenge
The stamped image is Felicity from the new Angelica and Friends range from Crafters Companion.
Very cute, I thought, and easy to colour. The papers are MME Fine and Dandy, Girl.

Sadly my photography has let me down somewhat today ( must be the wine with lunch!!) so the colours don't appear so bright as they do in real life ;0(

Anyway that's it for today. I have annual leave this week so I am hoping to get a bit of crafty therapy in!!

I much appreciate your visit.
Please leave me a comment so I can do some travelling in blog land and return the favour!  x

Pink & Cream Sketch
Happy Friday! It's been a long week and it seems to have taken ages to put this card together.
The inspiration came from two challenges
Cupcake Craft Challenge - Sketch (yet another discovery for me)
Wild Orchid Challenge - Pink and Cream
I am still being ever so good and found an old(ish)  Molly Blooms stamp, coloured her with Promarkers and popped her atop First Edition papers, Family Ties, matted on kraft card. I used Wild Orchid Crafts - Sweetheart blooms

Thank you muchly for your visit x

Give us a cuddle
Who could resist a request like that!?
I have found another new challenge to enter ( as per my New Year Resolutions) and as Promarkers are my alcohol pens of choice I thought it would be rude not to enter Passion for Promarkers !!
The image is a digi from Cuddly Buddly- Cutest puppies, coloured with Promarkers, the papers are MME and a bit of paper punching and a stamped sentiment finishes it off nicely.

Many thanks for coming to have a peep. I appreciate it x

Valentine
I just don't know where the last week went. I had good intentions every day to do something crafty but, alas, time ran away and a week has passed.
Anyway, its bucketing down, what better excuse to stay in the warm and make another valentine card to share?!
Clementine has made another appearance, (I just love her and she is available Here ) coloured with Promarkers, simply mounted on another freebie backing paper, a couple of die cuts and job done!!

Here she is.......

......with complimentary paper inside too!

I used the following challenges for my inspiration
A Gem of A Challenge  - Hearts/Valentines
Allsorts Challenge - Valentines

Thank you for your time x

Hugs and Kisses
Today I have a valentine's card to share. I have to say I don't usually make any cards for this occasion but life has changed somewhat since I found blog land!!
I paid a visit to Bugaboo for the cute image who I coloured with Promarkers. The papers are freebies as is the die cut heart banner which, I suspect, came from Dies to Die for with one of my many purchases!!

I am entering my card in the following challenges
A Gem of A Challenge - Gingham or Check
Allsorts Challenge - Lets get cute
My Mum's Craft Shop - Valentines/Love
 Thanks for popping by x

The blue sky yesterday inspired me to do a gardening themed card for another new to me challenge -
Lili's Little Fairies Challenge - Anything But A Square (Fab challenge by the way!!)
It was also another chance to rummage in my stamp drawer and see what was lurking there and I found Watering Can which I coloured with various alcohol markers, inked the edges and used one of my ultimate pro boards to emboss the triangles which I then cut out, folded and hey presto triangular card!!
I am really rather pleased with it and shall certainly try different shaped cards in the future.

Thank you for your time x
