Friday 31 May 2013

Morning bloggers and Happy Friday!
I have a cutie to share today. The stamp is Bildmalarna. It's the expression on the dog's face that amuses me!! I have used Nitwits papers for a change. Another Birthday card to add to the pile :0) and I would like to join in at Allsorts Challenge 208 - Happy 4th Birthday

Have a good day and see you soon x

My Favourite stamp

Morning all and hope you are all happy and well.

I am SO excited to be able to reveal, at last, that I have been invited  by the lovely ladies  at
As You Like It Challenge Blog to be a member of their DT!! How could I refuse? :0)
I have been desperate to share my news with you, particularly as my Husband just didn't "get" my elation!!
Anyway, the cat's out of the bag now and I am looking forward to sharing more  work with you and my lovely new friends in my first ever Design Team. Go on over and take a look at their favourite stamps.

This Whiff of Joy stamp is a firm favourite of mine purely because of it's colourability (DO NOT check the dictionary!). You can really go to town with the shading if you choose to and it's also a nice image for building up a scene with. The papers are from Crate Paper Farmhouse Collection and the other bits and pieces from my stash.
I am going to play at the following challenges
I Love Promarkers - Use Dies
Stamp n Doodles - So many layers
Polka Doodles wk 21 - To die for

Go on have a rummage in your rubber stamp drawer, rediscover a favourite, then come and join us!!

Thanks for stopping by x

Wednesday 29 May 2013

Hello!  the sun is back and everything looks so much fresher this morning I think.
I was up with the lark today and have managed to get tons done.
I am sharing another new digi today, really good value too as it's the offer of the month.
Coloured with my Promarkers (as usual) and popped onto
MME backing paper (using oodles of pinflair for dimension!!). I stuck a little bit of cotton lace behind the window to give the suggestion of a cafe curtain (which isn't readily visible...oops)

This is the little sentiment already
on the paper so didn't need anything else.

I will be entering the following challenges
Songbird Challenges - All creatures great and small
One stop craft challenge # 230 -  Furry Friends
Passion for Promarkers #200 - Ribbon lace or twine

That's all for now. Thanks for coming to see me it's appreciated and your
kind comments are always greatly appreciated. x

Tuesday 28 May 2013

I put this card together this evening to add to my stock box. The inspiration came from

The "oldie" bit is the image which I printed from Humphrey's Corner Crafting Collection which I haven't  looked at for ages and ages ( shame on me!!). The papers are freebies from a recent magazine and I die cut the delicate daisies in pink and green, snipped the pink flowers and popped them on top.  Pearls from my stash and that's it. I'd forgotten what it's like to make a quick card!!

Toodles for now. I am off to snuggle up in my slanket and watch
A passion for horses that I recorded last night x
Another Boy card this evening and in bright cheery colours to lift the gloom that has been with us today :0(
The image is from Cuddly Buddly, I have used him many times before because he just makes me smile.
I am playing along at these Challenges

The die cut paper clip slides up and down the little tag so you can indicate the age.
A nifty little touch, I thought!! Have another plan developing so may be back a bit later,
must strike while the iron's hot!!

Good morning one and all. Pretty yuk here today but never mind....we all know that yukky weather means plenty of crafty time, after the chores of course!!

A little different for me today. I have had a play using brown shades only and this is what I came up with to join in at the following challenges.....

The papers are from Debbi Moore Designs, the stamp from Joanna Sheen and the rest from my stash.

What ever you are doing I hope it's a good day x

Monday 27 May 2013

Hello everyone hope you have all enjoyed a lovely extended weekend.
The card I'm sharing today was inspired by the challenge at

One of my colleagues (who has a love of cookies) has a Birthday this week and I thought this card would be perfect, together with the double chocolate chip cookies I shall bake to give her on Thursday.

The digi is from Tiddly Inks and the other bits and pieces from my stash.

Cheerio for now x

Sunday 26 May 2013

I hope you are all enjoying the Bank Holiday Weekend.
It's been glorious here and I have been outside for most of it so far. However, I am having some quiet time in crafty world before the gang arrive home!!

The little chap, on the card I am sharing, is from Whimsie Doodles
and the papers are MME On the sunny Side. I was doing some alterations on my sewing machine  so thought I'd have a go at sewing my papers to the card  for a change
(boilersuit green thread seems to work!!).

That's all for now so enjoy the rest of your day and see you soon x

Friday 24 May 2013

It's Friday at last and it seems to have been a long week. One final late finish and it's the weekend!!
A quick post this morning with an equally quick card.

The flower was created with one petal from Stampendous - Petal Plus and the sentiment from the same set. The embossing folder was a magazine freebie and ribbon from here.

I am supporting the following challenges

Thursday 23 May 2013

Morning my crafty friends.
A quick share of another man card this morning.

The stamp  I used is from a Joanna Sheen set called  My Garden (one of the first I ever bought!)
 and coloured with Promarkers hence....

Off to work now, so cheerio and hope you have a good day whatever you are doing x

Wednesday 22 May 2013

I was lucky enough to win four images from the extremely generous Ruth at A Passion for Stamps
and this is the first one - Fuchsia.
Now, I make no apology for not being keen on anything in the mauve,lilac,purple....spectrum, however I am trying really hard to use them more and this was a perfect excuse to do just that, together with the shove I needed from the following challenges....

The colours speak for themselves I think, and the lace is in the form of Martha Stewart's lace border. Apologies for the shadows but this picture, taken on the rockery, looked so much nicer than the one I took indoors - the fish got seconds too - poor dears thought it was morning!!

Anyway, toodles for now and I appreciate your time x
I have another male variety card to share today and this was inspired by

I used a cog embossing folder and some dullish mirri board for the "metal work", I found the papers in my stash and coloured the image with my Promarkers. Simples!!

Monday 20 May 2013

I have a bright and cheery card to share this evening. I used the sketch from A Gem Of A Challenge

and am also playing along at
WOC Week 77 - Sunshine (The bright sunshine colour)

The stamp is Molly Blooms  coloured with Promarkers. The papers are from Echo Park "It's a Boy's Life" pad. I recoloured the freebie doily with Mustard Promarker. A touch of ribbon  and some pretty flowers,  a die cut border and that's it!

Off to create some more man cards while inspiration has struck!!

I appreciate your visit x
Another week begins...does someone press the fast forward button on Friday evenings? I wonder sometimes!! I was really organised at the weekend, as I have a busy week
ahead (extra hours  at work )  and have put together a few cards to keep me going this week.
I did promise myself that I would do more male ones for my stock pile so here is another which is also appropriate for  these challenges

To ring the changes, I made a tall ish easel card which will still fit in a standard A6 envelope  and have also kept it relatively flat too. The stamped image and sentiment is from the Gone Fishing ( a freebie I think) set which I coloured  with Promarkers. The papers are from Echo Park's "It's a Boy's Life" paper pad and the buttons from my stash.

A better shot of the image and sentiment.

Thanks for calling x

Sunday 19 May 2013

Good morning peeps, hope it's nice where you are.

The card I am sharing today was inspired by the following challenges

I just love Carolina and her carrots and to my mind she looks like she could be a proper little madam!! The papers are First Edition Boho Chic and the flowers from Wild Orchid (which is fine because the card is to be hand delivered on this occasion!!).

Now, I wasn't conscious that I had favourite colours, however on looking back over my featured cards (and those in my ever increasing number of storage boxes!) I realize that I use  salmon pink and green together quite often so they must be my favourites! Not entirely sure why, maybe it's because they work so well together in nature or perhaps it's because those particular promarkers happen to be on my desk!!

Thanks for sharing your day with me. Have a good one x

Saturday 18 May 2013

Hello one and all and what a glorious day it's been.
We have been busy bees today, doing some essential field jobs and then a couple of hours in the garden and green house. It was lovely to be outside in shirt sleeeves (I was beginning to wonder if the fleece would have to be surgically removed!!).

However, managed to get some time in the work room and have a card to share inspired by this piccie that was taken this morning (spooky)

I am ashamed to say that I rarely use blue (except for male type cards) and am usually disappointed with the result, however I am really pleased with this one and hope you like it too.
Digi papers are from here the stamp is from LOTV coloured with Promarkers.

Have a good evening x

Friday 17 May 2013

Morning everyone. It's Friday!!

A quick share before I scoot off to NHS land!

The cute digi image is from the new Katy Sue Designs, Simpler Times CD Rom and coloured to match the Vintage Notes paper. The card base came from Which Craft and the doily was a freebie. I am playing along at Stamp n Doodle - Anything Goes

Thank you for coming to see me x

Thursday 16 May 2013

Happy Frosty Thursday!

A box to share today that I made for a Birthday gift. It's also perfect for

I made it using 15cm squares of paper (First Edition Boho Chic) and cut the aperture using a Marianne
Craftables die backed with acetate. The paper rose  was made (using  Sue Wilson's tried and tested method!) with scraps to match. Simples!

Off to work in a bit. See you soon x

Wednesday 15 May 2013

Our Best Friend

I came across this image whilst browsing at Mo's Digital Pencil and it was  the sentiment
that rang so true (being daft as I am!) so much so that I HAD to have it!

Our old boy, Mog, (who is in his seventeenth year now) has proved such a loyal and true friend to us and was such a fabulous cow dog when we were farming. He is now deaf, has very few teeth, and is a bit wobbly on his legs but still eagerly awaits the early morning visit across the field to the pony. We know that each day we have left with him is a precious gift and a chance to repay his devotion with our love and care.

Anyway, this is the card for you to have a look at coloured, as ever, with Promarkers

The image and sentiment really didn't need anything else and fits the brief for the following challenges

See you soon x
Lots of Layers

Hello again, back to share another card with you.
Still dull here and the light is not brilliant for taking photos but hey ho!

Kraft notes pad is still on my desk so I couldn't resist using these lovely papers again. The digi is one of my weekend purchases and is "Molly balloons" I coloured her with Promarkers and got the old Grand Caliber  cutting lots of layers to mount her on to and a Doo Hickey border die for the pretty paper.
I was inspired by Cupcake Craft Challenges #242 - Lots of Layers
The Paper Shelter -  Anything Goes

Thank you for stopping by and let me know you've called x
I would say Good Morning but I would be telling porkies.
It's raining and cold here in Dorset but never mind I have lots to do so am sure I won't notice!

I am on a mission to get some less girly cards made and here is the first.....

The image is from here, coloured with Promarkers. I used my lovely new papers again and "doodled" around the edges! I found a cute little bee button in my box so tied it on with button twine.

Toodles for now, chores await!

Monday 13 May 2013

Good Evening. Hope you have had a good day.

I am back with this little chap who I coloured with Promarkers.

An easel card for a change which, I think, shows him off nicely.

Good old card candi and die cut flower as stoppers.

I was inspired by the following challenges

Thank you for calling. I'm happy to have your company x

Hello everyone. Just a quick post this morning.
Another new digi to share with you that I found here (fab images!!) and perfect for

Printed, coloured with Promarkers, matted on black, finished!

Hope you have a good one whatever you are doing x

Sunday 12 May 2013

Evening everyone. I don't feel a bit guilty about all the crafting I have done today :0),
it's been raining. I have had such fun with my new digis, and here is the first card......

.....made for a girl friend, with the following challenge in mind

The papers are new from here and the image and sentiment are from Tiddly Inks, isn't she cute?!

Thank you for your time. See you soon x

Sport

With a house full of  sport obsessed men you would think this an easy one...
but oh no I struggled until I raided the old stash and found another aged purchase. This time in the form of a Kanban stamp set.

I used my score board to emboss a grid behind the image to emulate a goal like impression. Mounted on black board with some corners.....done!! Also plain enough for

Have bought a couple of digis this morning so may be back later after having a play!
Pink and Yellow

Happy Sunday! I put this together last night while Hubby and the youngest were watching cricket on the box (having been playing for five hours previously mind you!!)
With only two colours it was a really quick card to make and it's nice to keep it simple for a change and the inspiration came from here
Card Crafters Circle-Colour me Pink and Yellow

I know my new year's resolution fell by the wayside some time ago but I really am trying to use old stash and this stamp was probably one of the very first that I bought. It's a wood mounted Judikins stamp called cloth butterfly and I'd forgotten how effective it is. I think the black sets it off too.

Cheerio for now x

Saturday 11 May 2013

Vintage friend!

Good evening crafty buddies, hope you are enjoying your Saturday. Sadly it's not as nice here as it was last weekend but never mind there has been enough sunshine for me to take a reasonable piccie outside and at least it's not snowing!!

Today I made a birthday card for my friend Kim, who won't mind me sharing it with you!

I had to use an 8x8 card base this time, as the digi needed to be a little larger than usual to show the detail. The image is called Blossom Hippie Chick, the papers (including the letters and little tag) are from a very old Paper pizzaz pad called retro, which worked really well. The daisy was die cut using the centre of  SB anemone set and stuck on the top of a silk flower.

The inside was decorated to match.

Forgot to say that I am going to try
I think she'll fit in quite well!!

Thank you for visiting me. I appreciate it x

Friday 10 May 2013

Happy Friday! I made this card last night using up some odds and sods inspired by

Simples!!

Have a lovely day and thanks for calling x

Thursday 9 May 2013

Morning. Not a great one though. Wet and windy, never mind off to work so it can do it's worse!!

Before I go I would just like to show you this

I used the remaining cardstock from my Thank You card for the base of this one. The papers are from MME On the Sunny Side pad and the stamp from here. I added some sparkle to a parcel and the corners, as per the brief from Allsorts Week 205 - Add some sparkle
and coloured with Promarkers for Passion for Promarkers #197 - Birthdays.

Better go and get the "school uniform" on and whatever you are doing have a good day x

Wednesday 8 May 2013

Thank you

Have decided that rain is OK because you can't do outdoor jobs so can craft instead !
Hence another card to share for the following challenges

It's another diddy card 6"x3" that fits the stamped image perfectly. Papers and stamp are Docrafts Home to Nest which I got here. I had a real play with my Promarkers to get an aged look and after a good rub of Frayed Burlap around the edges I think I achieved it.

Thanks for calling x
Puppy Love

It's raining :0(....I knew it would, I cleaned my windows yesterday - that'll teach me!!

The card I am sharing today was inspired by
Joanna Sheen Challenge - Music & Lyrics and I have chosen a song title - Puppy Love.

Confession time, when I was a little girl I was soooo in love with Donny Osmond that I was convinced  I would marry him. Sadly, the distance between us was just too great so, broken hearted, I swapped allegiance to the Bay City Rollers!!

Anyway, on with the card.......

I printed the Nitwits papers  on to glossy paper for a change and coloured my Stamp Fairy image to compliment them. The little die is from a set by Marianne Craftables CR1228 which I bought recently as it was hugely reduced, but can't remember where from! I haven't added a sentiment as I think it could lend itself to almost anything, so will wait and see.

Cheerio for now x

Tuesday 7 May 2013

Good Evening. What a beautiful day it has been. Surprise and I had an almost dawn ride this morning, it was glorious. The bluebells are, at last, making an appearance together with the wild garlic. This afternoon wasn't quite so great with a visit to the dentist, however, nothing to be done so that's OK!!

Anyway, I am back to share the card that I made for the new challenge blog that is
As You Like It Challenge #1 - Favourite Die and/or Punch

A square base with lovely new papers from Joy! Crafts, the stamp is from a set called Shelves which I coloured with my beloved Promarkers ( I should get out more!!). I paper pieced the crockery using more papers from the pad and added the Just Because sentiment to finish it off.
Now....why is the SB Floral Oval set my favourite?  Because it is just so versatile it and always seems to be my default die, whether I am backing an image or just using it to stamp a sentiment on to.

As for my style....not too fussy I guess, although not totally CAS. I LOVE paper and  tend to use flatter embellies these days too (due to the rising cost of postage) and in doing so let the papers showcase themselves!!

Thanks for visiting x

Blow.....

Hello one and all.

I love challenges that get the grey matter working (no image - shock, horror!!)
and was really pleased with the result.

.
The papers are Kraft Notes ( think these papers may be featuring quite a lot - they are lovely) and the stamp came from here. I cut the paper for the pinwheel  3"x3" in size and snipped diagonally from the corners to 1/4" from the centre, pierced holes in the corners and the centre and folded them into the middle and secured with a brad. As the sentiment is quite small the card is only 4"x4". One tiny pink bow and that's it :0)

Thanks for dropping by, I really appreciate it x

Monday 6 May 2013

Lovely Moments

Hope you have had a great Bank Holiday weekend and lots of the above.....which is the name of the stamp I used for today's card. I was inspired by these challenges...

A Little Bit Crafty - Kraft it! (Kraft card galore)
Passion for Promarkers - Week 196 To die for( Floral Ovals)
Stamp 'n' Doodle - Mother's Day or for a female
 Cupcake Craft Challenges Sketch

and this is what I came up with, although I did turn the sketch to accommodate the image.

The pretty papers are from the Forever Friends Kraft Notes pad and the image
was coloured, as ever, with Promarkers

and I decorated the inside too.

Hope you like it. Have a lovely evening, no men here so I am going to get me some more therapy of the crafty variety!

See you soon x

Wednesday 1 May 2013

Last one of the day and this cutie is for

This is Milly - Hello (isn't she adorable?) with her furry friend. I have used this stamp time and time again for all sorts of occasions/people/styles and it never fails to please. Another quite CAS layout. She was coloured with Promarkers and the papers are MME The Sweetest Thing - Lavender that I mounted on coredinations.

That really is it for today. I'm off  to have a cuppa and a bit of Kindle time!

Enjoy your evening x
Evening all!!

What a lovely day I've had. Out to lunch with Hubby, mowed the lawn, entertained the dogs and horse for a bit and some creative therapy in my work room.....bliss! Reality check though - work tomorrow and Friday but at least it's a long weekend to look forward to!!

I decided to have a rummage and use some more freebie papers and in doing so found a digi image that I printed off yonks ago, from here . I coloured her with Promarkers and added some glossy accents to her glasses and the diddy ladybird. I also got out the old sakura white gel pen and
dotted her pinny to match the paper.

Now I don't know about you but washi tape has always been a mystery to me and I've never really liked the look of it, well today I took the plunge and stuck some on my card so that it looks like the image has been taped on and do you know what.....I like it!! An epiphany that's what it is I am officially a washi tape convert!!!

Here it is.......hope you like it

I am entering her in the following challenges

I'm on a roll so may finish another in time to post tonight so may see you later x
 All at Sea.......

Good Morning, and what a glorious one it is too.....doesn't it make you feel happy when the sun is out :0)

Today I am sharing a somewhat CAS card (for me) which I put together with the following
challenges in mind

The Kanban stamped image was coloured with Promarkers. Simples.....

Thanks for calling, I do appreciate it x
